Saddle was first photographed in 2005 and has been photographed consistently since then.  Saddle has been identified on both the right and left sides. We are uncertain of Saddle's sex- there is often a calf nearby in photos  but never alongside this whale.  Saddle has unique injuries of unknown origin.
