Ridscuff was first photographed in 2005 by the photo-ID team but photos provided by NMFS go back to 1998 making this whale at least 21 years old.  This whale is identified on the right and left side and is a presumed mother based on photos with a calf.  This whale named after the scuff along its ridge.
